Tour Operators - Ken and Lesley Hindmarsh

We are residents of Whitianga; I do the boat tours and my wife Lesley is the local Audiologist here in Whitianga and in Thames. After having been regular visitors to the region for fishing, diving and relaxation for nearly 30 years it is great to have settled here away from the bustle and grind of Auckland.
I have lived near or close to the sea all my life, growing up on the edge of Ohiwa Harbour in the Bay of Plenty, a very similar harbour to Whitianga. To me it almost feels like a home coming.
With salt water in my ancestral history from as far back as my great, great, great grandfather, an Admiral in the British navy, I feel I was almost destined to be working on the sea.
After several seasons on the water our passion for the ocean and the wildlife we see has grown with the delight and smiles on our passengers’ faces.
It gives us immense pleasure to share this wonderful region and its diversity of scenery and wildlife with all nationalities and ages. The beautiful Cathedral Cove and Orua Cave, the fish life of the marine reserve, along with occasional visits from dolphins and orca, these have re-ignited my love of photography and the underwater world (snorkelling and diving).
I hope to see you on our trip soon.
Ken & Lesley Hindmarsh
